CASINO ROYALE 2006
A definite talking point of Casino Royale was actor Daniel Craig emerging from the sea as James Bond while on location in The Bahamas. The stills of this scene, which feature Craig wearing La Perla Grigioperla Lodato blue swimwear, became world famous during production and when the film was released in 2006. Other highlights in this section of the archive include publicity shots of when Craig was announced the sixth actor to play James Bond on the 14 October 2005 in London. There are also a large array of classic promotional stills of Daniel Craig as 007 and Eva Green as Vesper Lynd. Look out for pictures of stuntdriver Adam Kirley on location at Bedfordhire, England driving the Aston Martin DBS. The films script called for the car to roll over after Bond swerves to avoid Vesper tied in the roadway. A world record for the highest number of cannon rolls of a car was achieved: seven in total. Thanks to stuntman Kai Martin, for the use of his behind the scenes pictures during filming of the film’s key action scenes. You can see Martin doubling for Daniel Craig during the free running chase in The Bahamas and also during the Miami airport sequence (which was partly shot in Dunsfold Aerodrome, Surrey, England). Stills photographers credited as Jay Maidment, Larry D Horricks (graphics and art department) and Susie Allnut (second unit). Additional stills by Greg Williams.
